Comments:

O/O great as always -- these comments relate to the production and security. Apparently rock concerts these days are fair game for culture-warrior police types.... at Alpine Valley, while the private security was reasonably mellow, the local and state cops spared no effort to show the Dead Heads how unwelcome they were. State troopers drove back and forth through the parking lot at high speed, endangering fans. Helicopters hovered. No one felt free to socialize lest the person next to you turned out to be an undercover cop. At regular intervals cops went to and fro, sirens blaring, for such emergencies as a paraphernalia (glass pipes) bust. The state even went to the trouble of closing the highway rest stops in the area as if Dead Heads don't pay taxes like everyone else. Hey cops, we all have cell phones, if we need the police -we will call you-. My only complaint with the production was a 1 hr wait in 3 long lines for $10 burritos (one line for the tortillas, one for the meat, one for the salsa....) Not a few Dead Heads are getting on in years, not unlike the band... We 40+ rock fans don't have the stamina to put up with stuff like the Burrito Nazis. Also, why does the GD have a problem doing business with big, monopolistic Microsoft (who reportedly offered to host their music) but not with big, monopolistic Clear Channel??
