Smashing Pumpkins
{ Aragon Ballroom }

Wed Apr 19 19:32:47 CDT 2000
Promoter: Jam?
Security: Safety Services Systems
Where: Chicago, IL
When: 15/04/00
Stage: indoors

It was a cold night. The ticket only said show at 8 p.m. We arrived shortly before 8. There's a line. It takes us 10 minutes to reach the end of the line. It snaked down the sidewalk, under the el tracks, down an alley and out onto a shopping center parking lot. The line is moving when we join. The doors just opened at 8! After 15 minutes, we finally reach the front. There's only one exterior door open even though there are 4-5 interior doors with tickettakers and pat down searches. It's almost 8:30 and the Pumpkins are already started. We missed the begininng. Why did they only have one door open? Why didn't the doors open earlier? I had a jacket and I was cold. There were tons of kids in t-shirts and tank tops waiting in line. The temperature on the Aragon marquee read 45F. Why did they have us all stand out there in the cold? I've never seen this before. I had a jacket
